Belghoria Touch is a non-profit organisation that started its journey in 2014 by a group of like-minded individuals with a sole aim to uplift the life of distressed people and thereby uplift the living standard of the society.We focussed on work primarily in Sundarban areas as we felt that despite having bountiful gifts, their major living condition needs general upswing. The idea was two-door: First to support them by bouncing back from any natural disaster and second to provide sustainable livelihood, health and hygiene, child education, women empowerment, cultural preservation, etc.
Our Activities
Heath Camps ( Pashe Achhi )
We organised a series of medical camps called 'Pashe Achi' where we arranged free health check up, eye camp, blood donation, etc. Between the year 2014 to 2020, we covered more than 20000+ patients. While in pre-covid situation , we covered 10+ critical patients
Health & Hygiene (Sanjibani)
As a part of health and hygiene, we distributed 10000+ sanitary napkins in various villages of Sundarban. Also organizer free health check-ups and awareness camp for 50+ autistic children in collaboration with ' Disha Rehabilitation Center'. In 2022, we started
Women Empowerment (Shoktirupeno)
During the period of Covid 19, the members witnessed a lot of migrant workers influx into Sundarban. Which evidently put pressure on the economical situation of the families in various villages. To provide sustainable livelihood, they choose the path of empowering women
Disaster Management (Angikaar)
Natural calamities such as earthquakes, floods, and man-made disasters happen accidentally and we send relief to the victims. Natural disasters come all of a sudden and destroy regular lives. To grant relief and assistance to the needy victims during natural calamities
Cultural Activities (Parboni)
To preserve culture we distributed musical instruments to the music and dance group 'Jhumur'. Our initiative has supporter and appreciated in the platform of 'Dadagiri' by Sourav Ganguly.
Pujo Program (Devi Paksha)
Every year we organize a special cloth distribution program for children just before Durga puja. We also took 200+ children to Kolkata visit in Durga puja and provided them breakfast and lunch.
Child Education (Shoisob)
Our organization also distributed books among 1000+ children as a venture of child education. We are also going to arrange free tuition classes for them to improve their marks
Support for Differently Abled Person (Sahara)
Belghoria Touch distributes wheelchairs to 100+ physically disabled patients. Our ngo also worked on developing the social status of disabled people by providing them training.
Nutrition (Pushti)
We’ve worked towards child health selflessly, especially to nourish the helpless underprivileged children suffering from harmful disorders like malnutrition due to ignorance, poverty, and undernourishment.
Online Programme During Pandamic (Sere uthuk sohor)
The Covid-19 outbreak was difficult for all of us to cope with and we’ve witnessed how harshly it affected the deprived sections of our society due to nonsensical rumours and lack of awareness.
Special Occasion (Parboni)
We find it extremely important to take care of our seekers with love and to do so we celebrate each and every festival with them like Basanta Utsav, where they feel the most of themselves and sparkle our hearts with the purest form of joy.
Water Treatment Plant (Sparsham Aqua)
To cope with the increasing concerns about Sundarban’s water scarcity, our organisation has planned to design a water treatment plant and wishes to extend this project afterward.
