Belghoria Touch

Belghoria Touch is a non-profit organisation that started its journey in 2014 by a group of like-minded individuals with a sole aim to uplift the life of distressed people and thereby uplift the living standard of the society.We focussed on work primarily in Sundarban areas as we felt that despite having bountiful gifts, their major living condition needs general upswing. The idea was two-door: First to support them by bouncing back from any natural disaster and second to provide sustainable livelihood, health and hygiene, child education, women empowerment, cultural preservation, etc.

From the beginning of our journey, our main focus was health, hygiene and education. Thus we organised a series of medical camps called 'Pashe Achi' where we arranged free health check up, eye camp, blood donation, etc. Between the year 2014 to 2020, we covered more than 20000+ patients. While in pre-covid situation , we covered 10+ critical patients with emergency medical treatment in different hospitals in Kolkata. Also distributes wheelchairs to 100+ physically disable patients. As a part of health and hygiene, we distributed 10000+ sanitary napkins in various villages of Sundarban. Also organizer free health check up and awareness camp for 50+ autistic children in collaboration with ' Disha Rehabilitation Center'. The organization also distributed books among 1000+ children as a venture of child education. To preserve culture we distributed musical instruments to music and dance group 'Jhumur'. Our initiative has suporter and appreciated in the platform of 'Dadagiri' by Sourav Ganguly.

While starting our journey we made a promise that we will bring smiles to the faces of children. To keep this promise, every year we organize a special cloth distribution program for children just before Durga puja. We also took 200+ children to Kolkata visit in Durga puja and provided them breakfast and lunch.
